A farmhouse,
five stones.
The story of Le 5 Pietre, from 2012 to today.
Set among the hills of contrada Comuni, near Caltanissetta, Le 5 Pietre was born from the wish to rediscover the farming tradition of the family who runs it.
- 2012
The Le 5 Pietre farm is founded: field vegetables and cereals on the hills of contrada Comuni.
- 2015
In summer the farm stay opens, in the abandoned farmhouse we restored in the middle of the fields.
- Today
Kitchen, pizzeria, banquets and rooms. And always at the heart of it, our land.
Why
five stones.
While restoring the farmhouse, five great limestone boulders surfaced from the earth. Instead of taking them away, we raised them on a geometric grid in the square before the entrance, like prehistoric menhirs: standing stones, signs of a presence. There are five, like the members of the Giarratano family, and they became our name and our symbol: the five shapes in our logo are them.

Art
in the rooms.
The building has a contemporary character, yet farming is at the centre of how it is furnished: the rooms are accompanied by reproductions of paintings from art history devoted to country life, nature and food.
Millet, Vermeer, Carracci, Caravaggio, Van Gogh, Miró: art has always told the story of the land and the table.

One family,
every detail.
Le 5 Pietre is a family business. We personally look after every detail: the welcome, the choice of produce, the care of the rooms, the organisation of your celebrations, together with a kitchen and front-of-house team we trust. That attention is what made us number one in Caltanissetta on Tripadvisor.
